The new exhibit, which is expected to open Oct. 7, is based on the popular PBS Kids TV series that follows the adventures of Buddy, a Tyrannosaurus Rex who travels the world by train learning about dinosaurs. The exhibit will use two popular themes—dinosaurs and trains—to transport children through time and nurture their interest in scientific learning through hands-on activities.
It is the second exhibit that The Magic House has created in partnership with The Jim Henson Company; the two organizations previously collaborated to create “Sid the Science Kid: The Super-Duper Exhibit!,” which is also currently touring museums across the country. Both exhibits were made possible in part by donations from the Monsanto Fund.
“Dinosaur Train: The Traveling Exhibit” will be free with admission to The Magic House. The exhibit will be open Oct. 7, 2017-Nov. 26, 2017, and March 3, 2018-May 13-2018.
The Magic House is located at 516 S. Kirkwood Rd., Kirkwood, MO. Admission is $11. Children under the age of 1 are free.
